This committee is responsible for the organization of all extra-curricular events at the British School and is headed by Lucia Damazio and Maura Xerfan.

Three main events take place each year at the British School:

1) Founder's Day Fête (Botafogo site)

A celebration of the foundation of the school in 1924. The FDF is the main annual event which brings together students, parents and teachers. Many attractions and games are organized for children of all ages, and for adults too.

• stalls with games and competitions with prizes
• various performances including theatre, capoeira, ballet and magic shows
• sideshows featuring art, hair styling, face painting, videokê
• rides: trampoline, bucking bronco, hang-glider simulator, battery cars, adventure wall and merry-go-round

The choice of food is huge! Stalls selling cakes and sweets, barbecued beef, chicken and sausages, Geneal hot dogs, arab food, a cheeseburger bar selling chips, popcorn, sweet and savoury crêpes, churros and candy floss, Itália icecream and a bar with soft drinks, mate, water, coconut water and beer.

2) Halloween Fun (Sítio Pedra Negra - Jacarepaguá)

Hallowe'en celebration which takes place at the school's property in Jacarépaguá. The "sítio" has lots of open space, a football pitch, swimming pool and a large grassy area. This event features:

• Football tournament
• Fancy-dress competition
• Adult football
• Treasure hunt
• Stalls with games and prizes
• Face painting
• Mask factory
• Merry-go-round
• Choo-choo train
• Trampoline
• Bucking bronco
• High jump
• Daredevil bridge
• Haunted house

To recharge the batteries after so much activity, we provide: Barbecue, sausages, hotdogs, icecream, sweets, cakes, cheeseburgers, chips, popcorn, churros, sweet and savoury crêpes, candy floss, coconut water and various other drinks!

3) Christmas Dinner Dance

An end-of-year get together for parents and teachers. Each year it takes place at a different venue. A raffle is drawn during dinner.
